Public Transport
There will be free public transport for all participants and volunteers on race day until 3pm! All you will need to do is present your race number or volunteer shirt.

Shuttle buses

Shuttle buses will be operating before the event:

  • 10km run shuttles will travel to the temporary event stop at Metroplex, Murarrie.
  • 4.5km run shuttles will travel to Curtin Avenue West, Eagle Farm – near the Remora Road starting point.

10km – getting to the start line

For the 10km there are two options to get to the start line – via bus or train.

  • Trains will depart from the following stations below and travel to Murarrie Station. From Murarrie Train Station participants then walk up Queensport Rd to the 10km start line on Lytton Rd (approx. 1.2km walk from train station).
  • For the 10km course only, there will be additional Queensland Rail services to drop participants at Murarrie Station. Spectators should not travel to the 10km start line as there will be no return service.

Bus Shuttles going to 10km start line will depart and stop at the from following locations:

  • Depart RBWH Busway Station – Platform 1, ANZAC Square, Cultural Centre, South Bank, Mater Hill, Gabba, Metroplex – 10km start line bus stop
  • Depart Carindale Interchange arrives Metroplex – 10km start line bus stop
  • Depart Stones Corner Busway Station – Platform 2, Langlands Park, Old Cleveland Road stops (Coorparoo, Kismet Street, Camp Hill, Carina), Carindale, Metroplex – 10km start line bus stop
  • Depart Eight Mile Plains Busway Station – Platform 1, Upper Mouth Gravatt, Griffith Uni, Holland Park West, Greenslopes, Buranda, Gabba, Metroplex – 10km start line bus stop
  • Depart Chermside Bus Interchange, Gympie Road – Kedron North, Kedron Brook, Lutwyche, Truro Street, Lutwyche Road – Windsor Rail, Metroplex – 10km start line bus drop off

4.5km – getting to the start line

Shuttle buses will run from the six public transport hubs and various stops along the way before arriving at the temporary event bus stop at on Curtin Ave West near the 4.5km start area. From the temporary bus stop on Curtain Ave West, it is a short walk (approx. 150m from the start location on Remora Rd, with a paved footpath for bus patrons to use). Further details here

Shuttles going to the 4.5km start line depart and stop at the following locations:

Post Event Shuttles

A high frequency shuttle service will operate from a temporary event bus stop on Costin St at The RNA Showgrounds. This shuttle service will travel express to City Hall (Ann St Brisbane) where patrons will transfer to a shuttle bus to Carindale, Chermside, Eight Mile Plains, or regular suburban route service. This service will operate from 7:00am – 11:30am.

Patrons can continue to use regular route services after 11:40am in line with TransLink’s free event travel for this event.

Participant Drop Off

10km is either corner of Creek and Lytton Rd, at Metroplex Avenue or Paringa Road, Murarrie. Please be aware of road closures in place.

4.5km is MacArthur Avenue. Please be aware of road closures in place.

Car parking
There will not be any allocated car parking at either start line. We strongly recommend that participants park at the public transport hubs and use the free public transport promotion. There will be disabled parking access.

If you need to park, there is limited paid parking at the RNA Large Animal Pavilion Car park.
