The Triple M gang have been a long-time supporter of the Bridge to Brisbane. They’ve raised plenty of money for some important causes and had a lot of fun on the way. Here’s a flashback on a few of our favourite Triple M moments at Bridge to Brisbane’s gone by.

Breaking world records!

At the 2012 Bridge to Brisbane, Triple M’s Pete Timbs smashed the Guiness World Record for High Fives!

Ending in some very sore hands from making 14,607 high fives at the 2012 Bridge to Brisbane, Pete smashed the Guinness World Record for the Most High Fives Achieved by an Individual in 24 Hours. And he did it in 5 hours flat!

In doing so he also raised $10,000 for the Kids Help Line – the amount donated by Suncorp if he got to 10,000 high fives, thus breaking the previous record, which was 9,325.

Super Supporters

In 2013, Triple M raised a HUGE $21,940 for Pete Timb’s charity. The Bridge to Brisbane “Triple M’s Beat Pete” campaign raised money for Crohn’s & Colitis Australia. For every person that “Beat Pete” over the finish line, Triple M and Suncorp donated $10. Pete came 2195th in the 10km run, resulting in a total of $21,940 raised for his charity!

Kicking health goals

Triple M’s Dobbo lead ten runners over 100kg in a health kick for Bridge to Brisbane! Proving that size is no obstacle, a group of runners in the 2017 Bridge to Brisbane joined Dobbo in an unlikely team to smash a health goal and complete the 10km course.

Two of the team members, Caboolture couple Rachael and Dan Wallace, said they were taking part to be good role models for their young autistic daughter.

Empowering Communities

Who could forget Marto’s ‘Limping Legends’!? Triple M’s Marto lifted up our community to encourage people who have injuries (short or long term) to still compete in the Bridge to Brisbane! The team of limping legends made their way across the 5km line after supporting each other along the way.

Keep your eyes peeled for the Triple M Fugitive at this year’s Sunday Mail Transurban Bridge to Brisbane! Gather the clues along the track and find the Triple M Fugitive to WIN.
