OWEN ZENG

Running History/bio:
23 years after graduated from University it was my first time to start running again for 5 KMs in an event which was organised by an real estate giant company in China. Before that I enjoyed swimming a lot but always felt lonely in the water. Jogging brings me similar experience in swimming but I can listen to music while I am jogging. Started from 400 meters, gradually increasing the distance, it took me about one year to conquer my first half marathon. By now I have finished full course marathon in three cities (Beijing in 10/2015, Shenzhen in 12/2015, Gold Coast in 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019). When I moved in Brisbane in 2016 I was lucky to know some local running mates and I set up a runners group in the name of ABC Runners. At peak time there were 161 members and now there are more than 50 active members on line. I enjoy jogging and running. I love meeting people and sharing joyful experience of running with them. I also encourage my children to run, and by now my daughter keeps jogging. I would like to encourage more people to start jogging and enjoy the rewarding happiness jogging always bring in. I will be very happy to help others to archive their personal best in this race.
