Transurban gears up to raise charity funds

Get to know more about The Sunday Mail Transurban Bridge to Brisbane’s fundraising powerhouse.

Team Transurban is proud to be a long-term partner of Ronald McDonald House Charity SEQ, raising more than $2.4 million for this worthy cause over the past 11 years. In 2024, they hope to register their largest team ever in the Bridge to Brisbane.

Transurban Queensland Group Executive Sue Johnson said that a 400-strong team is expected to take on the iconic Gateway Bridge course all in the name of their charity partner, providing seriously ill and injured children the best gift of all – a home away from home with their families.

This year’s Bridge to Brisbane promises to be a great day out for the entire family with on-course entertainment, face painting for the young and young-at-heart and an exclusive Transurban photo competition at the finish line.

Jade Lai, Transurban Network Engineer, commenting “I love taking part in Bridge to Brisbane as it’s always a highly anticipated event to see Brisbane’s most iconic roads and bridges on foot.”

The event delivers an energetic atmosphere and a sense of community, Lai stating “The energy on the day is infectious, and I can’t wait to race with Team Transurban again this year!”

Team Transurban is up and running in preparation for the Bridge to Brisbane, and are excited to be participating in a much loved, inspiring event that fosters community togetherness, whilst raising much needed funds for Ronald McDonald House Charity SEQ.

Transurban Network Engineer, Shah Munzerin, adding “Participating in Bridge to Brisbane as part of Team Transurban is all about the celebration of community, fun, and fitness. It’s about giving it a go and sharing in a sense of accomplishment with colleagues, family and friends.”

Join Transurban as we take to the streets and bridges of Brisbane to raise funds for Queensland charities.
