Still not sure if The Sunday Mail Transurban Bridge to Brisbane is for you? Here are our top 5 must see things on course to get you pumped for Race Day.

The iconic Gateway Bridge

You don’t want to miss out on the opportunity to run over one of Brisbane’s most iconic bridges – the Gateway Bridge. Thanks to our naming rights partner Transurban, we are the only event in Queensland that can shut the Gateway Southbound down for our participants. Whether you walk, run or take part in a wheelchair – this is one for every Brisbane locals bucket list!

4.5km Start Line Atmosphere

If you’re looking for an electric start to your morning, there is no better antidote than the 4.5km Start Line on Bridge to Brisbane morning. From performers on stilts, warm up sessions and pump up tunes, participants in the 4.5km event are always up for a good time and will hype you up the whole way to the Finish Line.

Underground Opera

IYKYK – any race goer who participated in 2021 and 2019 will tell you our Underground Opera stars are one of the best surprises you will see on course. Their powerful tones will hit you when you need it most and help drive you towards the Finish Line.

We can’t tell you where they will be this year, but we can tell you you don’t want to miss them!

Charities

More than 100 are chosen as beneficiaries of our communities fundraising efforts at The Sunday Mail Transurban Bridge to Brisbane each year, and we are so proud to be able to support them in raising vital funds for their cause. One Race Day you can expect to see charities out in force, with their query costumes, high energy and heartwarming stories on show.
